Mr. Brister is a registered Professional Geologist with over 30 years experience in Western Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, NWT), North Africa and the North Sea. Mr. Brister was the Chief Executive Officer of Chinook Energy Inc. from June 2010 to December 2013 and also that of its predecessor Storm Ventures International Inc. from August 2003 to June 2010. Mr. Brister was the President and C.E.O. of several successful junior oil and gas producers that were profitably grown and sold over the last ten years. In that role, he gained valuable oil, gas, heavy oil and power project experience in generation, execution and management as well as capital markets experience in Canada and the United States.
Mr. Wierzba was the Vice President, Operations of Chinook Energy Inc. from May 2012 to DEcember 2013. From June 2010 to May 2012 Mr. Wierzba server as Chief Operating Officer, Canada for Chinook Enery Inc. and also that of its predecessor Storm Ventures International Inc. from 2003 to June 2010. Mr. Wierzba has over 30 years of experience in Western Canada including senior management level with the most aggressive exploitation operations in Western Canada while at Renaissance Energy Ltd. and Pinnacle Resources Inc. Mr. Wierzba has valuable expertise in production optimization, and facility design, construction and operation as well as drilling and completions. Mr. Wierzba has strong contacts across the Canadian oilfield service sector and has international experience in Iran.
Mr. Clark has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba. Mr. Clark was the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Storm Energy Inc. from November 1998 to November 2001. From January 1986 to July 1998, Mr. Clark was employed by Pinnacle Resources Ltd. in positions of increasing responsibility, the last being Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Clark was also a director of Pinnacle from January 1986 to July 1998. Mr. Clark is and has been a director of a number of private and publicly traded entities.
Mr. Archibald has a financial background and has been involved in the successful creation of a number of energy companies. Mr. Archibald, is currently Chairman and a founder of Cequence Energy Ltd., an oil and gas exploration and production company, and was a founder and CEO of predecessor companies, Cypress Energy Corp., Cequel Energy Inc. and Cyries Energy Inc. Mr Archibald also currently serves on the boards of Progress Energy Canada, Sea NG Corp., Palisade Capital, Panorama Mountain Village, Serafina Energy, and Winsport Canada, as well as the National Advisory Board for the Ivey School of Business. He has also served on the boards of a number of other private and public energy companies and not for profit boards including the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, the Calgary Zoo and the Calgary YMCA. Mr. Archibald received an MBA from the University of Western Ontario (Ivey School of Business) in 1985 and a B.Comm. (with distinction) from the University of Alberta in 1982.
Mr. Herdman is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and was formerly a senior partner at Price Waterhouse and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Calgary serving that firms largest Calgary based public clients. After enjoying a 34-year career with the firm, Mr. Herdman retired from practice in 2010. Mr. Herdman currently serves on the boards of Black Diamond Group, Blackline Safety and Sunshine Oilsands (all publicly traded companies) as well as Zag Bank and Western Financial Group. Mr. Herdman has also served on a number of not for profit and professional organizations. Mr. Herdman graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary.
Ms. Angevine is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Matco Financial Inc. with over 20 years of investment and research experience. She is a member of Matco Financial’s Investment Committee and chairs the Canadian Equity Working Group. Ms. Angevine currently serves on the boards of two other publicly traded entities. Prior to joining Matco Financial, Ms. Angevine was Vice President and Director, Institutional Research at FirstEnergy Capital Corp. Ms. Angevine graduated from the University of Calgary in 1989, having earned a Bachelor of Commerce and has earned the Chartered Accountant (CA), the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designations.
Mr. Iverach has been a practicing tax lawyer in Calgary for more than 38 years. He was a founding partner of Felesky Flynn LLP, retiring therefrom in December 2005 after 28 years. He has extensive experience dealing with financial statements, financial planning and tax matters pertaining to a large array of public and private corporations and partnerships, particularly in the energy sector. Mr. Iverach graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts degree, from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Laws degree and from the London School of Economics with a Masters of Laws degree. He is a past President of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society and was the Founding Editor of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Journal. Mr. Iverach has completed the directors education program offered by the Institute of Corporate Directors including sessions devoted to Audit Committee functions and is an examiner in the ICD program. He has also received the honorary designation of Queen’s Counsel.
